Tropical Glass Art & Creative Resin

My name is Kim Crouthamel, owner and artist of Starfish Designs Originally from the beautiful Jersey Shore, I developed a strong connection to the ocean, sandy beaches, boating, fishing and snorkeling and knew I would eventually reside in a beachside area always admiring the beautiful Florida landscape & beaches.

Moving to the south to the West Coast of Florida with my husband and 2 children, finding a vacation site in Marathon hoping to eventually reside here permanently. Always had a love for “tropical designs” in acrylics and painting on glass wanting to make it a full time venue. After 25 years in the financial industry, my dream came true and I was able to take my love for painted glass to the next level in art gallerys and art shows.

My passion has been unique & vibrant hand painted decanters, wine glasses, pitchers all fired in a kiln and painting on colorful tropical buoys. Recently added hand painted epoxy resin clocks, cutting boards and charcuterie boards to my pleather of tropical designs. I so enjoy creating in paint and resin my designs. I also ventured into resin tray tables and countertops – again in my passion of tropical colors.
