During the usual Sunday morning Catholic mass many decades ago, I remember having no clue what the priest was saying, I was young enough, that the mass was still being presented as usual, in Latin. So, during that long hour ordeal, in a language I did not understand, to entertain myself, I would look around and notice the changing colors in the church. It looked like a dance with flowing, swirling dresses; It was fascinating, and the reflections were formed by the stained glass sitting in those massive window spaces. That was my first interest in colors. I was probably 3 years old.
Time passed as it tends to do. In the 80’s, my best friend from kindergarten inherited a stained-glass store. She taught me the art of stained glass over time, and I continued to maintain my interest in combining colors and textures to create stained-glass pieces over the past 35 years. When I moved to Marathon, I was lucky enough to have a good space to work on my glass. I hope to continue to create pieces for years to come. I do have other hobbies and find it difficult to find enough time in a day to accomplish everything I enjoy creating.
