I am the owner and founder of Sun's Up Studios. I make hand-cut fused dichroic glass jewelry. I moved to the Florida Keys 17 years ago from South Jersey. I worked as a waitress in Key West at Sloppy Joe's for 11 years with dreams of doing something artistic. I was always drawn to dichroic glass. I had a pendant from a local artist and would always beg him to make me matching earrings, but he just didn't make earrings. He taught me the basics of dichroic glass, and the rest is self-taught. Figuring I would make my own earrings. When I did, my friends loved them and wanted me to make them some too. Three months later, I was doing pop-up markets. Fast forward three years, and I was excited to be filling the Shady Palm art gallery with my dichroic glass jewelry. Feeling extremely blessed.
