Colleen L. Fuller
Colleen L Fuller lives on Big Pine Key and has a passion for photographing the Key deer, birds, and other wildlife. Back in 2017, she started her own Facebook group focusing on the Key deer called We Love Our Key Deer, which is when her passion for Key deer photography ignited. Bird photography was next, and she’s been hooked ever since! When she’s not here in the Keys, she ’s traveling throughout the State of Florida photographing different species of birds, such as Great Horned Owls, Barred Owls, Crested Caracaras, and wildlife not seen in the Keys, such as bobcats. Born and raised in Maine, she’s also had the opportunity to photograph Atlantic Puffins and Snowy Owls as well as a variety of other bird species. Colleen works full-time at First Horizon Bank as a Banking Center Manager in Big Pine Key and is also a board member with the Florida Keys Wildlife Society. Her passion for the Key deer led her to volunteer with the US Fish and Wildlife Service and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Key Deer Research and Response Program, providing support responding to Key deer issues. She enjoys working the local vendor fairs with her photography business, Colleen L Fuller Photography, from mid-November through mid-February, where she can connect with people who love the Key deer and birds and talk about her wildlife encounters. Her photography has been featured in the local “News Barometer” newspaper as well as the birding magazine “North American Birds” who published her photograph of a banded American Flamingo from the Yucatán, which was photographed here in the Florida Keys.
