Favio Caraguay

An Ecuadorian native, Favio Caraguay is a multidisciplinary visual artist. His field research in Andean semiotics and philosophy piqued his interest in indigenous knowledge and ways of life that seek to be in harmony with nature. Since then, he has used semiotics, mathematics, the geometry of nature, and Andean philosophy to explore through painting, drawing and photography an artistic proposal called Differently Resonating Art. Through his proposal he addresses the problems of the Anthropocene and its environmental, racial and gender implications, and intends that his art harmonizes through resonance and awakens human consciousness with all that is in the Earth-cosmos.
