After Growing up in Milwaukee, WI, I spent most of my adult life in Barrington, IL and finally settled down in SE Florida, I have been retired for many years now and live on a small island in the Florida Keys where I began my interest in photography about 20 years ago. My work has been published in several newspapers and on a book cover. I have had many solo exhibitions at the Marathon, FL Community Theater. An image of mine was selected for their brochure. The Shady Palm Art Gallery in Marathon, FL is where I currently have my work displayed in the Florida Keys.

My husband Bob introduced me to the Florida Keys, "discovering" them as a college student in the late 1950's. The area was quite different then almost primitive by today's standards. Together, we continued to visit the Keys as often as we could in the ensuing years. After many vacations, with family in tow, it became apparent I was getting sand in my shoes. Because of the glorious weather, we knew we would one day retire to the Keys. In 1967 we bought property in Key Colony Beach and built a home in 1974.

After retiring, the family boat docked just outside the door, my appreciation for the unique Keys environment prompted me to turn to photography. I began photographing local flora and fauna as well as land and seascapes. I then turned to photographing small social groups, weddings, and other social occasions, focusing on candid occasions rather than formal situations. I have also done some aerial photography of customer's homes and notable landmarks.

I have exhibited my art in the form of note cards at local art fairs for more than 10 years. Now I have two art shows at my home per year. My work has gravitated toward canvases and framed pieces, some of which are currently displayed at the Shady Palm Art Gallery, Pigeon Key tourist center and various retail locations throughout the Marathon Area.
